Back in 1994, before I became a licensed psychotherapist, I suspected that a good majority of people seeking psychotherapy didn't need "therapy', as much as they needed education. It seemed most people weren't psychologically disturbed, they were just misinformed or uninformed when it came to living a life of success, satisfying relationships and happiness. After seeing hundreds of clients, my suspicion became a conviction. While there are many for whom therapy is appropriate, for most a little guidance towards the right information is all that's needed. I began to focus on teaching my clients the skills for effective self-change and self-improvement. I began giving my clients the information they needed for self-help and success. I didn't care whether or not the source of information was by "Psychological Professionals". I only cared that it was effective. This angered my colleagues. Yet I persisted.
I've seen the positive results of giving people empowering information, and treating them as persons capable of self-change rather than as patients needing to be treated. This is what led to the founding of The Good Life Now, Informational Resources for Success, Self-Improvement and Personal Growth.

ABOUT THE GOOD LIFE NOW
This information isn't for everyone. It's for those willing to take responsiblity for the quality of their lives.
Thoreau observed, "The mass of men live lives of quiet desperation." What makes the difference between living the life you want and living a life of quiet desperation?
It's you.
If you're willing to accept that, then this site and the products offered here are for you.
QUALITY NOT QUANTITY is our goal. Therefore, rather than carry hundreds of self-help books, we offer only a select number of books on this site. Our focus is books that have proven themselves over time, books that might be considered "classics" of personal growth books.
We do, however, make available additional books, tapes and other products through affiliated sites. Here again our focus is a select number of high quality offerings.
